1. INTRODUCTION

The 9448 Alarm Control Panel is a fully programmable 7 zone control panel

with Full and Part Set, designed for domestic installations.

Before installing the alarm system, make sure you are familiar with the

functions, system plans, and detectors described in this manual.

2. System Planning Gives typical installation plans and examples.

Study these plans before attempting to install and

program the control panel.

3. Installation Describes how to fit the control panel and connect

the power supply, detectors and alarm devices.

4. Programming Describes how to program the control panel for

individual users.

Operator Controls and Displays

The control panel comprises a single printed circuit board, with microproces-

sor electronics, mounted in a Polycarbonate case with a hinged lid. There are

two versions of the case. The lid of the 9448+ contains a backlit soft rubber

keypad and a column of LED (Light Emitting Diode) displays (see Figure 1).

The lid of the end station version (9448ES) has no keypad, and a single

Power LED.
